They created their own modular pistol platform. The all new ZEV OZ9C Compact X-Grip with FDE Slide 9mm carry pistol, is ZEV Technologies first ever complete pistol build. Built to their high quality build standards using only the finest materials available. ZEV’s OZ9 Compact uses their patent pending steel receiver, this is the core of the firearm which is serialized. Its steel core allows for various slides and grip modulus to be interchanged in a matter of seconds. Because this steel frame runs the full length of the OZ9, it allows full integration of the locking block. As well, the rails of the steel receiver are twice as long, this doubles the surface area that contacts the slide. Also it has channels that are designed to clear out debris and double as lubrication reservoirs. Another great feature on the OZ9 Compact is the 1911 grip angle and its slimmed down PRO magwell that enhances grip, while reducing printing.

The ZEV OZ9C Compact X-Grip with FDE Slide is as well balanced as they come, designed for control-ability and less felt recoil. All this combined, creates a pistol that has less muzzle rise and the ability to put rounds quickly down range, on target, were they count. Being that the OZ9’s slide runs on a one piece receiver it greatly reduces vibration and rearward recoil with the aid of the grip module. Designed with a removable single take down pin in front of the trigger guard that locks into the steel receiver, This is used to easily swap grip modules and do internal upgrades. Another great feature, the OZ9 Compact takes standard glock mags, no need for overly expensive after market mags.
